Bradley Manning's Attorney Speaks Out

UPDATE  This will be covered by CSPAN tonight (Monday) at 7 pm.

Report on yesterday's Bradley Manning hearing from co-author of my Manning book.

From an email this morning via the Bradley Manning Support Network. "On December 3, 2012, Army whistleblower PFC Bradley Manning’s civilian defense lawyer David Coombs will make his first ever public appearance to discuss the case of US. v. Manning. Mr. Coombs will discuss the ongoing hearing regarding the alleged mistreatment that PFC Manning was subjected to while in solitary isolation for nine months at the Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia – thevsubject of international outrage and a UN investigation. The government’s denialvof Bradley Manning’s right to a speedy trial will also be discussed, along with other aspects of this groundbreaking case. Accused military whistle-blower andvNobel Peace Prize nominee PFC Manning has been in prison for over 900 days. Hisvcourt martial is currently scheduled to begin February 4, 2013.

"Supporting activists believe that Wikileaks releases attributed to Manning havevgiven American journalists and citizens a far greater window into the reality ofvthe wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Guantanamo Bay, and secret corporate influencecon foreign policy."
