Just saw film, one of the five nominated for Oscar for best foreign film, No, about the wild ad campaign that help defeat Pinochet in the famous plebiscite in Chile in 1988. I know there's some controversy over facts, and how much role the ad campaign and the film's hero really played in the amazing win, but I'll have to go back and re-read that. I was particularly interested in the film because the Kerry Candaele film Following the Ninth (for which I am listed as assoc. producer) is about 1/4 about how Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" helped inspire resistance in Chile under Pinochet.
