My Best Films of the Year 2017

Every year for many I have posted my list here starting about this time in December--then update it into early January as I see most of the top Christmas season releases.  So the list always changes quite big before it's "final" next month.  Here's what I've got so far, and in approximate order.  Also see what's not included at the top.  I judge this as an especially weak year unless those movies I have not seen almost all pan out--and many will.   Even the American movies I list are "small" films that in a good year would have a lot more competition for a top spot.

Not seen yet but good chance at cracking top 15:  The Post,  Call Me By My Name, Faces Places, Phantom Thread, The Florida Project, All the Money in the World, Disaster Artist.

Not seen yet but unlikely:  All the rest, though I suppose The Darkest Hour has a shot.
